Street People – City of Cape Town Give Responsibly Campaign

Give responsibly

We have recently communicated with residents as to a public meeting on the 16th April regrading problem being encountered with Street People.

GIVE RESPONSIBLY is a “call to action” developed by the Cape Town Central City Improvement District (CCID) and its Social Development Department in 2008.

Residents are encouraged visit www.giveresponsibly.co.za in order to find out how more by contributing to to this organisation they will assist rehabilitation services, skills training and education, to the possibility of shelter or even family reintegration for Street People.

It is very easy to instead provide “tips” to street people which are then used to fuel their addictions – which leads to more serious consequences down the Line such as the Tokai Forrest incident.
