“How exciting is this?!”
When the majority of children attend schools in the Southern suburbs they do NOT expect to find a dusty field to play sport on, and the Constantia Residents and Ratepayers Association feel that it is high time to participate in radically changing the conditions of this historically disadvantaged school within our neighbourhood – Constantia Primary School.
We need and intend to raise R650 000 for a multipurpose Astroturf pitch to be laid at the school which will make a significant impact in these young children’s lives. Both phys-ed classes and sport will be able to be played on a field where we, as the Constantia community, have begun to level the playing fields, so to speak.
A local retailer has generously pledged R250 000 so we have a wonderful start already. Could it be possible if each of the 3200 Constantia residents pledged R100 each or hopefully more?
The Sporting Chance Foundation (www.sportingchance.co.za) with financial support, has initiated to provide inspirational sports coaching and physical education programme, and donated equipment. Already they have noticed the positive impact this has had on the children. Through their founder Brad Bing, this much needed project has come about and the CRRA want the dream to be realized…..and soon!
SO WHAT CAN YOU DO?
The idea is that if every household (3 200) in Constantia contributes as such then we will reach our target of R320 000.
Please pledge an amount of R100 (or more ideally)to:

Bank: Standard Bank
